  • Objectives :

This MSc specialty focuses on one of the most revolutionary current developments in modern computer science, namely ubiquitous and interactive computing. Indeed available technologies increasingly enable computing and communication to migrate out of the “gray box” of the PC allowing the progressive integration of informatics into all aspects of human society. We are entering an era in which the users will interact everywhere, based on sensing and context acquisition, to access new forms of services by interacting with mobile devices, smart embedded devices, information appliances, large displays, ambient displays, multimodal interfaces and augmented reality interfaces. In this context, the specialty “Ubiquitous and Interactive Systems” (UIS) is dedicated to the design, development, deployment, evaluation and understanding of ubiquitous and interactive systems. The objectives of the UIS specialty is to obtain an understanding of key technologies as well as human-computer interaction design skills required to design and build ubiquitous and interactive systems.

This UIS specialty provides the training for qualified specialists in interactive techniques who will be able to respond to the strong industry demand for software engineers. It also prepares candidates to undertake further investigation and research into ubiquitous and interactive systems. The students who intend to engage in doctoral studies are advised to select a subject including a part on scientific investigation.
