  • Objectives :

    With the increasing externalization of corporations and organizations in a global multimedia and interconnected world, Security of Information Systems and integration of data protection technologies are among the most critical issues, from private life protection to company survivability and protection of their funds. Security of Information Systems is an active field of research.

    The « Cryptology and Security » option provides high-level training in the fields of Security of Information Systems and Cryptology, from fundamental concepts to advanced security technologies. Coupling Computer Science and Mathematics, the common core program focuses on the two main aspects : cryptology (protocols and proofs, attacks) and security (hardware and software implementations, threats and counter-measures).

    The program is part of the "Master of Science in Informatics at Grenoble". This is a highly competitive European standard (LMD) Masters of Science programme designed to lead to doctoral studies with one of the internationally prominent research groups in the Grenoble area (INRIA research centre, Grenoble University laboratories : Institut Fourier, LIG, LJK, GIPSA, TIMA, VERIMAG.

    All courses are taught in the English language, during the first semester (30 ECTS). The research project happens during the second semester ; the thesis may be written in English or French. Optional French language training is available for English Native Language speakers.
